Even my bones will turn to dust

The rigidity of life morphs our form to something unnatural.
What is real, what is true?
The hidden cavities of our nature that we ourselves don’t know the map of.
A meditation on the transience and impermanence of emotion, our body, our work, our life.
“Even my bones will turn to dust” is a multimedia project that consists of a series of sculptures, monoprints, and animation. The sculptures are made from plaster, bast fibers, and hair. It is a reflection on the cycles of life: the changeability and impermanence of it, and yet, in the midst of it, the resilience of what remains.
The works are inanimate objects that somehow have life in them. The bone cubes resemble bones, yet are obviously not a natural organic shape.
This was my final project of year one of the Higher Diploma program in NCAD.
